Meet the Builder

A Construction Life, Since Age 12

Mark R. Hammond II founded Forever Built Homes LLC in 2013, but he’s been on construction sites since he was 12, learning to hang and finish drywall alongside his dad in the family business. Family is where it all starts for Mark, his wife Allison and their son Owen.

Along with Forever Built Homes, Mark owns Drywallers Unlimited LLC and Forever Built Rentals LLC. He has been a proud member of the Home Builders Association of Saginaw since 2010.

Mark is known for hard work and dedication to quality. Working with the best local subcontractors and suppliers is one of the ways he shows he cares about the community. Keeping jobs local matters to him.

No. We work with many developers and can help you find the property you’d like your new home built on. Most banks will also let you package the land and home mortgage together in the same loan.
Absolutely not. Some of the banks we work with require as little as 5% down. If you already own a piece of property, it can count toward your down payment.
We love to. Working with our drafters, we turn your ideas into the floor plan of your dreams. Because we handle design and build together, you get better communication and a better final result than working with a separate architect and builder.
Always. A simple change order lets you make the changes you want. Nothing is set in stone once the contract is signed. We want you happy on move-in day and for the many years you live in your home.
Definitely. We build year-round. In the winter months we take the necessary steps so your home is built with the same quality as one built in spring, summer or fall.
Every home is a little different, so every timeline is too. Most homes under 2,000 square feet are built in under 4½ months from the time we break ground.
We take pride in our work from the first consultation to well after you move in, and we expect the same from our suppliers and subcontractors. We build every home as if it were our own, and we try to be honest, fair, up front and transparent so there are no surprises. Unlike most builders, Mark is more than a general contractor. He puts on a tool belt himself for framing, siding, insulation, drywall and painting. It’s how we keep quality high and builds moving. We don’t build houses. We build homes.
